All I did today was write....

Sometimes I just want to kick the shit out of some people and say words that they have never heard before. That's not who I am and that's not what I'm about. I'm just going to write, write, write and create, create, create and all that will be left is my pity for you.

I hate people that prey.

I love people with soul.

I like to dream, but I like to make things happen.

I've been pretty absent that past two 6 weeks, but that was on purpose. I've taken a long needed vacation to see my family and to catch things up at home. I went without seeing my family for about a year and a half, and it was really doing something to me emotionally. I now feel fully rejuvenated and ready to get back to work. Damn, I'm really missing my work. That's because things are going better than ever, actually the best they could be at this point. I'm just so happy with my life right now, everything seems just right. Since my time off I've been writing so much down....so I need to get back into that studio and create! Next month I'll be traveling to Switzerland, Denmark and Germany.

I've been reading a lot of quotes lately about "Dreaming" and being a "Dreamer"....This always confuses me. It confuses me because sooo many people have dreams and goals, but that's as far as they go. They just become thoughts and hopes. I rather do. I rather make things happen. You'll have to kill me before I ever stop. The good thing is, the people around m realize this and work their ass off for me in return. Please don't confuse this....I thinking dreaming and being a dreamer is GREAT, just as long as you do the work that comes along with it ;-)

I'm going to start posting as much as possible now because writing is just therapeutic to me and it gets me in touch with soooo much of you. So many of you want to know whats going on and what I've been up to. Sorry about the unanswered messages in my mailbox. I still try to answer as many as possible but it just gets to be a bit overwhelming. So I'll post a bunch about my puppies, family, new shoes and of course bundles about the music.

I love you all so very much.

Where my gay's at?

Over the weekend I got to swim in Zurich lake. When I say swim, I mean for a mere 30 seconds. Haha! The water was colder than ice...mountain water. It was such a beautiful day full of sunshine...we had a cook out BBQ and I somehow managed to mess up the kabob veggies :-p, I am so not a cook. I will always take up an opportunity to hang out with Andy, Chris and their friends. Hopefully I'll get to do it again before I leave for home....! I almost forgot the best part of the weekend...this cute little Dog Leo would not stop kissing my face! He kissed it nearly for 10 mins!! When he started to move to my boobs I made him stop....he was getting a little to frisky. He would be perfect for Hollywood. Miss Hollywood and Mister Leonardo Dicaprio. :-D

The tour is still going very well, its a very tight schedule and long hours, but I have so much fun with these kids! It makes me miss my brothers and sister even more though. I haven't seen my family in almost a year because of all the traveling, but next month I'll be taking a looong holiday to go see them. I cannot wait. :-D

This morning a really funny thing happen....I'm always making mistakes with words and for some reason I always choose the worst option. This boy asked me  "Do you like the gays?" I was like "Of  course! They always have the best time and they are great to go shopping with. But sexual orientation doesn't matter at all to me, it's whats inside that counts. " Everyone again was so confused and then they started to laugh really hard....That's when the teacher explained that he meant "gaming." The real question was "Do you like the games?" Hahaha, but I think its completely understandable how I got that confused! I could seriously not stop laughing, and the boy was such a great sport about it. :-)

I'm a little car sick right now because we're high in the mountains, so I'm going to relax a bit and sip this diet coke before  my next gig. Ahhhhh, so refreshing.

I'm sure you all know by now my love of sweets. I seriously have the biggest sweet tooth in the entire world. This huge candy store in Europe called "Lollipop" is amazing. They have soooo many different kinds of candy then we do back home! I love it! When I called my husband to tell him about this amazing candy store he simply said "I bet you got three pounds didn't you, Just like  you do when your home." And he was right...I got 1 kilo = 3 pds! Haha he knows me too well :-) Again...I just dont understand why my boobs photograph so big! Seriously they are NOT that big!! How I dare to dream! Thanks to Oliver who took the pics....hahaha!

Six feet under.

I'm sitting outside of my hotel room watching a beautiful storm overtake Zurich. I really love storms, they bring me peace and the wind feels amazing in this hot summer weather. Every time I'm alone traveling I get to know myself a lot more. You don't realize how much you've grown up until you start reacting to things differently. The petty bullshit we use to deal with just isn't important anymore. The past is left to the past. Of course there are always exceptions where people hold on to whatever grudge they can, because to them that's all they have. Let's make this world a but better and let go of the past. Life is too damn short...we should always look for the positive first. So this is my post to say....MY past is buried. Every lie that was ever told to me, every broken promise, every hurtful word....ALL OF THE BULLSHIT is being buried. This is one funeral I won't mourn.

(no title)

I want to personally congratulate John Gordon and Manfred/Mette Zähringer from Iceberg Records for winning the Eurovision Song Contest with "Satellite" performed by Lena Meyer-Landrut!! I am so proud and honored to work with you guys.

Eurovision is one of the biggest music contests in Europe. It compares to like an American Idol! Over the years he Eurovision contest has found amazing stars such as Celion Dion and ABBA.  How Eurovision works is each member Country submits a song to be performed live on TV and then casts votes for the other countries' songs to determine the most popular song in the competition. The show has been running since 1956!!! Making it one of the most longest running shows in he world. To read more about the contest go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurovision_Song_Contest

John Gordon and Jodie Frost wrote and produced the song so this is a really big win for them!! I am so honored and feel so lucky to be working with John, everything we ever write/record together always turns out amazing. One of first songs I've ever written with him was "Absolutely Nothing." Can't wait to work with him again in September! Go to YouTube and listen to "Satellite" performed by Lena Meyer-Landrut. It's a really great song and Lena is so cute! I wish her as well nothing but the best in her career.

Anyways....the entire tour has been going super well. The days are very long and it's a lot of hard work....it's nothing I didn't ask for ;-)! I've gotten some really funny questions too, such as "Do you like sport in bed?" and "Are you somewhat of crazy??" Hahaha! Yes, yes I am somewhat of crazy. Thank you for noticing!

Turbulence blows.

I was never so happy to land in Zurich then ever before. I needed a good break of some nonsense back in Pennsylvania and also the turbulence was terrible this time! Usually I can pop a anxiety pill and be fine....but no no no there had to Storms. So that meaning I got absolutely no sleep, that goes for the people on the plane that were sitting around me (I was a crying mess!). As soon as we landed Oliver was there waiting to pick me up and he said those three magic words...."You want Starbucks??" Haha already my day got so much better.

At Starbucks Oliver explained the game plan for the month I will be here. Let's just say there won't be much free time! My Swiss tour starts very early tomorrow morning. I'm really excited because last year was such a success, this year will be even better. I'll have plenty of clothes to choose from because I packed two huge suitcases full of junk AND I forgot that last time I left three huge bags stuffed full of clothes. My only worry? How in the world am I going to get this crap home?!  I might as well Start a walk in closet here too.

One of the BEST parts so far was finding out that my FAVORITEST (not a word I know...) Photographer from Pittsburgh got her image that she took of me in a magazine! It's a HUGE picture too! I think she is one of the most talented photographers I ever met and she deserves huge success. Hopefully together we can get that :-).

I'm going to call it an early night because I have a lot to do tomorrow! I miss you family, Mark and Hollywood! I'll be back home before you know it....until then keep checking back daily for more adventures.

xoxo
Sarah

I'll Post the magazine shots tomorrow because my stupid head forgot them in the car! Below are some shots that were taken a week ago with Dawn Derbyshire and Make up by Adrienne Pace. Both ladies are super talented.

The day of travels...

I'm sitting at the Pittsburgh airport waiting to board my plane. I'm heading back to Europe today, which means heading back to long hours of work, no sleep, sweating, brusing and a hell of a lot of good times. I'm touring for the next 4 weeks and I can't wait. Touring takes so much out of you but gives you so much more back. I can't wait to meet all of tthe new faces and see the new places. Ummm why did I sound like a lame Dr. Suess? Europe here I come!!!!!!

Today is also my baby Hollywood's birthday!! She's 2 years old, ugh how they grow up so fast. I'm pretty bummed I had to leave her but she has a whole new set of sqeaker toys and treats to play with. Happy Birthday Hollywood!

Dawn Derbyshire my good friend and badass photographer took this picture of Hollywood a few months back. It continues to be on of my favorites!

Here are some pics I recieved from Ms Ashlee Gray from our January 2010 shoot. I really love the colors in these. It's all behind the eyes...

Rainbow Vomit.

Dawn finally has come back to Pittsburgh! I finally got my creative buddy back. She came over the other day and what did we do? We shot, shot and shot and ate, ate and ate. We also used a lot of color in a few shots....which is totally out of the norm for us. We consume ourselves in black...and usually that's my staple! The next outfit we managed to get back to black :-). When we went to the waterfall.....I saw a snake. This snake was about 6 inches long, but that didn't stop me from running away screaming and almost knocking a girl out. I might look and act tough, but if a snake happens to cross my path I resort back to scared child. This was the outcome....

Pure awesomeness.

So glad to have you back Dawn Derbyshire :-)

La Vie Boheme

It's been a few weeks since I've been back to the States. I've finally recovered and I am sooo ready to go back. Here are some pictures of some in Studio with my man Urs. We re recorded and mixed "Absolutely Nothing" so it's more in tune with the European radio. I apologize for this being so late! Like they say....better late than never!

I've been playing RENT all day today. The music never gets old....and it sends such a great message. I went to the musical a few years ago and it was amazing. I hope to see it again one day :-)

No day but today......

XOXO

My sassy is leaving Sweden...

In three days I got five entire songs done. I am sooo happy with the results. I work really well with Mans, I look forward to working with him again (hopefully very soon)! I was getting a little down the other night, not quite sure why. This feeling always overcomes me when i'm writing. The lack of sleep and the overhaul of emotions get the best of me. This morning when I got into the studio I finally was able to unwind a little bit because I got to hear some of the progress. Already Mans got one demo done. I must say...damn! It sounds better than I expected!! I now have a total changed of attitude because hard work pays off, it's just hard to realize that sometimes when you don't have something "in hand."

I'm heading back to Switzerland tonight...gotta be up early to be at Powerplay Studio with my Urs and Linn!! I will say that I will Miss you sooo much Sweden, thank you for the great music, laughs and open arms. I won't thank you for the weather as it sucked!

Hopefully i'll have time to shower tonight because its been two days....wow did I really just write that?

xoxo

Swedish fish!

I Just arrived in Sweden very early...yesterday morning. I have to say it is quite cold here! It figures because all I brought with me were dresses, tank tops and heels! Brrrr I need my fuzzy boots again, and to think I was all ready to retire them for summer.

It's so funny how I got together to work with Mans Ek. He is one the song writers on my first album (he Co wrote Dangerouz and Find a Way). Here...Mans and Manfred know each other quite well! This is a complete and total coincidence! Mans and I were talking about my first album yesterday and I found out a lot....stuff that made me feel like I was even more fooled with my first album. I believe in having a team...teamwork. I'm not going to get into the nitty gritty details but apparently some people DON'T believe in teamwork. You live and you learn and you are better for it :-)

I was ordering dinner last night at the hotel and the poor waitor had not a clue what I was trying to say. Haha....poor waitor...poor hungry me! Would you believe no Swedish fish in Sweden? I don't understand this! It's a good thing I'm all stocked up on Luna Bars...the best thing I could have packed.

Already recorded two songs today and we're right onto the next one. So I better get back to work ;-)

xoxo

Back in Europe...

The moment I arrived in Switzerland (7am) I had to get right to work! I had a buissness meeting with Chicoree, one of my sponsers. It wasn't a typical meeting it was sooo much fun. I got pick out some items from the Summer line...before its even out in Chicoree store! I also got to go shopping for free in one of the stores. I was in complete HEAVEN. I also was surprised when they also wanted to do a on the spot photoshoot. Double Heaven!! There is only one problem....how in the world am I going to get all of these clothes back to the States?! I really love the clothes too...it's all about the studs, demin, cargo, vests and stripes. Would you believe...I got a pair of jeans I love. I haven't worn jeans in over 2 years...thanks for making me a believer again Chicoree. ;-)

Thanks again Chicoree for all the awesome clothes!!!

xoxo
Stay beautiful!

Bring your Sassy over here.

es I will.

Packing for Europe again. I can't wait to get away for awhile...I have a lot on my mind and I can't wait to get in out on paper. I'm going to write write write until my little hand falls off.....

This time my travels take me to Switzerland and Sweden. Never been to Sweden yet, so this should be quit the trip. So many great songs came out of  Sweden...songs from Ke$ha, Gaga, Backstreet Boys (Ugh I use to looooove them. Still kinda do! Haha!), N'sync, Katy Perry....so many more. I'm just a little brain dead from trying to remember everything to pack.

What shall I forget this time??

xoxo
stay beautiful

And a bunch of crumbs....ugh. My purse is pretty empty....that will change soon enough. First got to get ready to grab a bite to eat at Cafe Capri. They have the most amazing Chai tea ever...maybe I'll have a glass or two...or four?

What a leech.

It never ceases to amaze me how people try to suck you dry. Emotionally, Physically, whatever. It's all what you give them, they get absolutely nothing from me. My blood will be their poison.

I have one more day in Denmark...and its going to be one busy last day. I have so many ideas in my head that I what to get out...so im going to make sure tomorrow I do that. The last song came together as an after thought...we all were starting to get a little frustrated but the idea just seemed to pop up. My head started running a mile a minute so I will be up all night writing so tomorrow we can record it :-). I am going to miss John and Lene so much. I really have a great connection with them both and hope this is the only the beginning of our friendship. We also make a pretty bad ass team.

Soon I'll be back in Pittsburgh....but not for long! I just got news from my manager that I'll be going to Sweden in April to write & record. I was so pleased to hear this because I have always wanted to go to Sweden. So much great music comes from this country. The great Max Martin comes from Sweden.I would DIE to work with him. He wrote hits for Katy Perry, Britney, Backstreetboys, N'Sync, Ke$ha and soo many more. He's a true legend. I also go back to Switzerland again in April to record some stuff with Urs! (I can't wait to play with his doggy, Linn!) Urs also promised to make me my favorite dish, pancakes!

I'm really craving some shoe shopping when I get back. I want some really Victorian looking boots with a peep toe and a super high heel. I saw a wonderful pair of Alexander McQueen shoes that I adored! They are unfortunately out of my price range right now, so let's hope I find another suitable pair in the states. Haha.

I don't have much else to say at the moment...I have a really cloudy mind tonight, so I'm covering my eyes so you don't know what I'm thinking. I'm going to get my butt back to work....Get over yourself.

XOXO
Sarah

I love reading the "who wore it better" in the tabloids....so I thought I would have some fun of my own. I never planned to do any of this but this idea popped in my head when I saw Katharine Mcphee and Megan Fox had the same outfit as I did...so hey why not?

Who Wore It Better?
